Experiments in Textiles

August 2026 exhibition:
A Caged Bird Dreams

Sarah has been working in acrylic painting and collage since 2017. Physical obstacles have created challenges and opportunites steering her to explore new mediums. She always enjoyed crochet, but never thought seriously about it as art. Family can only accept so many slippers and she suddenly realized she could do much more: macrame, weaving, wrapping, felting, and other interesting techniques. Research, experimentation, and use of unusual materials and traditional fibres will be her focus until the exhibition (with sister-artist, Linda Millar) in August 2026.
